Long Range Ultrasonic Testing Bladder (LRUT), also known as guided wave ultrasonic testing is a fast and cost-effective method for inspecting long lengths of pipes. The technology is operated by placing an array of probes (transducers) in the Wespo inflatable belt, circumferentially wrapped around the pipe being inspected. The transducer then generates and receives low-frequency ultrasonic-guided waves longitudinally down the length of the pipe.
